How long a bio can be on each platform
The counter checks your bio against these limits. A bold or italic letter counts as one character, the same as a plain one. Some emoji, such as flags and families, are built from several characters and count as more.

- Do I need an account?
- No. Typing, symbols, bold and italic text, dividers, the examples, and copying all work without one. Only writing with AI needs an account, because it runs on your workspace credits.
- Is my draft saved?
- Yes, in this browser, for 14 days after your last change, unless the browser blocks site storage. Leave the page and your bio is still in the editor when you come back.
- Why do some characters stay plain in bold or italic?
- Bios do not accept formatting, so bold and italic here are separate Unicode letters. Unicode has them only for A to Z, a to z, and digits, and digits only come in bold. Accented letters, emoji, and punctuation stay as they are.
